What is ‘Coaching’ anyway?!
In my own words, Coaching is actually a process. It is aimed at helping you gain insights and new ways of seeing things relating to something that you want to develop or change in your life or career. Coaching utilises tools or personal assessments and focussed one-on-one discussions to develop clarity around what the changes are that you might need or want to make. Then helps you develop the right strategies to achieve those goals. It is done with you, not for you. Like a sounding board, it helps you determine new ways of doing things, try them out, and adjust for effectiveness. It helps keep you motivated to achieve what it was you set out to do.
